Nikhil Banerjee
Founder
Nikhil Banerjee, a versatile educator and advocate for inclusive education, holds a B.Tech in Biotechnology from ICFAI University Hyderabad. With experience in Biologics Drug Development and Quality Assurance at Dr. Reddy's Labs, data analysis at GDRC UK, and policy work at PRIA New Delhi, Nikhil's journey reflects his commitment to societal impact. Currently, he teaches at Udaan Education, empowering students who dropped out of formal schooling, while also volunteering at Akshya Pratisthan NGO for the differently-abled. Nikhil's dedication to education embodies the transformative potential of learning.
Itysham Khatoon
(Founder, Managing Trustee)
Itysham is a postgraduate in Political Science and graduated from the prestigious Delhi University. She is also an accomplished painter (Bachelors in Commercial and Fine Art) having curated and displayed her paintings at various galleries in Delhi including the prestigious Gandhi Art Gallery Sultanpur. She was also the winner of the HUDCO National Art Gallery Painting competition 2019. She teaches Political Science and History to the Higher Secondary Classes and paints during her free time
Rituraj
Rituraj is a mechanical engineer from the prestigious Maulana Abul Kalam University of Technology in Bengal. He has been the bedrock on which the Udaan family has taken flight. He is an exceptional Mathematics and Science teacher for the Primary wing of our school and teaches Physics and Mathematics to the senior secondary students. Under his aegis several students have secured good ranks in CUET and have managed to get admission to various B.Sc courses in Delhi University.
His calm demeanour and empathetic attitude is the reason for his popularity among students and has ensured their success over the years.
He is a civil services aspirant and is diligently preparing for various government examinations. Being a student himself , gives him an insight into the minds of our wards.
Kaberi Mukherjee
Mrs Mukherjee is the seniormost teacher at Udaan Vidyalaya being involved since 2018, she is our bedrock of strength and a guiding light to all students and teachers alike. At 69 years young she is as enthusiastic about her subject and students as anyone. She has had a long and distinguished career as an English teacher at various schools and since her retirement has been involved with Udaan.
Under her mentor-ship students from the most humble backgrounds have performed beyond expectations (85 % Anshu Kumari, 89% Gaurav Singh- both from Government Schools in Delhi)
Nazeem Khan
Nazeem Khan’s journey at Udaan began in 2018 when he was a student of class 9 at the local government school. Coming from a humble background and economic hardship, he persevered more than others and did extremely well in his Board examinations. His interest in Commerce led him to pursue Chartered Accountancy. Udaan is proud to be sponsor of his higher education pursuits.
Nazeem dedicates his time in the evenings to teach Economics and Accountancy to students in classes XI and XII
Priti Kumari
Priti, like Asha had to drop out of regular schooling in 2015 due to familial pressure. She was also being forced into an under-age marriage which was averted due to intervention by teachers at Udaan.
She has turned her family's fortunes around by being the sole breadwinner and supports her siblings education.
She is desirous of clearing the prestigious UPSC exams in the future
Asha Kumari
Asha had to discontinue her schooling in class 9 due to her family's financial situation, Udaan helped her clear her Board Exams and she is now enrolled in the first year of college
She has interned with us since 2019 and is training to be a teacher. Her interests include reading and art work
